The 2025 ATP Finals draw is officially set, and tennis fans are in for a pretty amazing week in Turin, Italy.
Turin’s hosting the Finals for the fifth straight year now. Before that, London held the tournament for 12 years, so Italy’s really made this event their own.
Novak Djokovic has been the king of Turin so far, winning back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.

Alexander Zverev took the first Turin title in 2021. Then last year, home favorite Jannik Sinner won it all in front of his own fans.
Sinner’s the defending champ this time around, but here’s the twist – he’s actually seeded second. Carlos Alcaraz topped this year’s ATP Race rankings, making him the top seed.
That’s huge because it means these two superstars can’t meet until the later rounds.
The tournament splits eight players into two groups. They’re named after tennis legends Jimmy Connors and Bjorn Borg. Alcaraz leads the Jimmy Connors Group, while Sinner heads up the Bjorn Borg Group.
Now here’s where it gets really interesting. Djokovic is the most successful player in ATP Finals history – he’s won this thing seven times. At 38, he’s still someone everyone wants to avoid.
But the draw put Djokovic right in Alcaraz’s group. If the Serbian actually shows up, we’ll get the 10th match between these two.
That’s a big "if" though. Djokovic recently said he’s still not sure about playing, even though Italian Tennis Federation chief Angelo Binaghi claimed Novak already confirmed his spot.
Group Breakdowns
The Jimmy Connors Group is stacked. Along with Alcaraz and Djokovic, you’ve got Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur.
These last two couldn’t be more different. Fritz loves to blast winners and lean on his big serve. De Minaur? He’s all about speed and court coverage – the guy just doesn’t stop moving.
Over in the Bjorn Borg Group, Alexander Zverev landed with Sinner. They’ll meet for the 10th time, and Sinner’s been on fire lately – he’s won their last four matches.
Ben Shelton gets his first ATP Finals appearance. The American hasn’t played much since getting hurt at the US Open, but this is his big chance to make a statement.
The eighth and final spot is still up for grabs.
Felix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti are battling it out. But only one of them is actually, you know, battling.
Auger-Aliassime shocked everyone by pulling out of the Moselle Open. Now he’s basically hoping Musetti doesn’t win the Athens Open – not exactly the position you want to be in.
Next year, this last-minute drama won’t happen. The ATP’s changing the rules so those final ATP 250 events won’t count toward Finals qualification.
