2025 Kitzbuhel Open ATP Prize Money & Points Overview

-

The 2025 Kitzbuhel Open will run from July 20th to 26th, and the prize money and ranking points have been revealed.

Clay-court tournaments after Wimbledon often struggle to attract big names. But this year’s event in Austria has some players who might convince fans to grab tickets.

Matteo Berrettini is defending his title.

The 2021 Wimbledon runner-up beat Hugo Gaston in last year’s final with a really impressive performance. That gave him his third clay-court title of 2024, after wins in Morocco and Gstaad.

Berrettini’s back on the entry list for this year. He’s hoping to do better in Kitzbuhel than he did at Wimbledon 2025, where he lost in the first round. Clay and grass have been his best surfaces.

Alexander Bublik shocked everyone by reaching the 2025 French Open quarterfinal.

The Kazakhstani player had always struggled on clay before that. Now he’s hoping to keep that momentum going when he competes in Kitzbuhel.

Bublik backed up his Roland Garros success by winning the 2025 Halle Open. That included a victory over world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the round of 16, even after losing the first set.

Pretty amazing turnaround for a guy who used to hate playing on dirt.

Sure, ATP 250 tournaments like Kitzbuhel don’t offer as much prize money and ranking points as Grand Slams or Masters 1000 events. But the rewards are still decent for players looking to climb the rankings.

The 2025 Kitzbuhel Open champion will pocket €90,675 and 250 ranking points.

That’s not bad for a week’s work. Casper Ruud, Dominic Thiem, and David Goffin are among the other players who won this tournament before Berrettini took over.

Sebastian Baez, Roberto Bautista Agut, and Marin Cilic will join Bublik and Berrettini in the title chase. Picking a winner could be really tough because there are so many solid clay-court players on the entry list.

The runner-up will earn €52,890 and 165 ranking points.

Gaston’s run to last year’s final was surprising. It represented one of the best moments of the Frenchman’s career so far.

Prize Money Breakdown

Yannick Hanfmann and Facundo Diaz Acosta lost in last year’s semifinals. This year’s semifinalists will walk away with €31,090 and 100 ranking points.

The money drops below €20,000 from the quarterfinal stage. Losing at that point still gets you €18,015 and 50 points. Not bad, but significantly less impressive than what the final rounds offer.

Players eliminated in the second round still get a five-figure payout.

€10,460 and 25 points are guaranteed for getting through the opening round. That’s decent money for many players trying to make a living on tour.

First-round losers don’t get any ranking points in ATP 250 tournaments. But they’ll still have €6,390 added to their bank accounts for being good enough to make the main draw.

The tennis calendar never stops, does it? When Wimbledon 2025 ends, six events are played in the next two weeks. That includes the 2025 Citi Open in Washington, which has an excellent entry list.
