Novak Djokovic Reveals 2025 US Open Outfit

-

Novak Djokovic just revealed what he’ll be wearing at this year’s US Open, and it’s going to make him impossible to miss in New York.

The Serbian star’s latest look is a complete departure from his usual style. Instead of the bright, flashy colors he normally goes for at Grand Slams, Djokovic’s rocking a sleek black and gold design from Asics.

It’s pretty different for him, but it works.

The outfit reveal came in a short video where Djokovic starts with his back to the camera, showing off the black and gold shoes hanging over his shoulder. When he turns around, you get the full effect – the jacket matches perfectly with the same color scheme.

Fans on social media are loving it.

A Fresh Look for Flushing Meadows

This style switch makes sense when you think about it. At Wimbledon, where Djokovic last played (losing to Jannik Sinner in the semifinals), everyone’s stuck wearing all white. It’s tradition, but it doesn’t leave much room for personality.

The US Open’s a totally different story. Players can pretty much wear whatever they want, and most take full advantage with multiple colors and bold designs.

Djokovic’s keeping it simple this time, though. Sometimes two colors done right beats a rainbow any day.

More Than Just Fashion

The 38-year-old is hoping this new look – and maybe some new energy – can help him bounce back at Flushing Meadows. Last year’s third-round loss to Alexei Popyrin was pretty shocking, even if it made sense after the emotional high of winning Olympic gold just weeks before.

That defeat stung because Djokovic had won the 2023 US Open, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

That victory was huge. It gave him his 24th Grand Slam title, tying Margaret Court’s all-time record.

But here’s the thing – if Djokovic doesn’t win this year’s US Open (which starts August 24th), it’ll mark two full years without a major title. For someone who’s statistically the most successful player in tennis history, that’s a pretty notable drought.

Still Competing at the Highest Level

Don’t count him out, though. At 38, Djokovic’s still reaching the semifinals of pretty much every Grand Slam he enters. This year alone, he made the semis at all three majors, losing to Sinner at both the French Open and Wimbledon.

Those straight-sets defeats might sting, but just getting there at his age is impressive.

Djokovic isn’t thinking about retirement anytime soon, either. He’s already said he hopes to return to Wimbledon next year and has even talked about possibly playing at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

The competition’s only getting tougher, though. Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have basically taken over tennis since early 2024, splitting the last seven Grand Slams between them. They’ve contested both the French Open and Wimbledon finals this year.

After Sinner’s Wimbledon win, his coach Darren Cahill shared something pretty interesting – the Italian watches Alcaraz play more than any other player because he’s constantly looking for ways to improve his own game.

That’s the level of dedication Djokovic’s up against these days. But if anyone can find a way to break through again, it’s probably the guy who’s done it 24 times before – even if he is wearing a completely different outfit this time around.
